Google
developed a smartphone equipped with sensors 3-dimensional
(3D). Currently, the smartphone has created a prototype and deployed to
multiple developers to test it. Project this 3D smartphone by Google was
named "Project Tango.".
"The
purpose of Project Tango is to provide understanding of the capabilities of
mobile devices and the space equivalent of human movement," wrote Google's
official statement.
BBC website
reported, as many as 200 devices smartphone Google has offered to
developers. With the 3D sensor, a developer can imagine a variety of
possibilities that can be made and make it happen.
For
example, with a smartphone that has the ability to detect the location and
existence around it, developers can create applications that can help blind
people to walk in the room without needing help other people.
According
to Google, 3D sensors embedded in smartphones has a 3D measurement capability
of 250 thousand times a second, while always renews its position in real-time.
Analysts
said that today many companies are waiting for new technologies that can be
used every day to attract more consumers.
"The
focus is not only on hardware owned devices, but also what the device can
do," said Bryan Ma, Associate Vice President of IDC told the BBC.
Once
created, these devices will also be accompanied by a commercial
application. It is expected that the demand will arise not only from
individuals, but also from companies.
